About FIXX Media
FIXX Media is a social-first content agency based in Bath, founded and run by me, Ollie Chapman. We create short-form video for hospitality and lifestyle businesses, restaurants, cafés, studios and local brands, handling everything from content strategy and filming through to editing, captions and posting. Our content has generated over 30 million organic views, and the agency is growing, which is exactly why this role exists. I currently edit everything myself, and I'm looking for a dependable freelance editor to take on a share of the editing so I can focus on clients and growth.
The role
This is a fully remote freelance position, not a full-time job. You'll be editing short-form vertical videos (Instagram Reels / TikTok format) from footage supplied by me or filmed by our clients on their phones. Day to day that means:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- Cutting raw clips into tight, well-paced 15-45 second reels
- Adding clean, accurately-timed subtitles and captions in the client's style
- Syncing cuts to music so edits land on the beat
- Basic colour and audio tidy-ups where needed
- Following a clear brief and a house style guide per client, with examples provided
Most edits are genuinely straightforward, cuts, captions and pacing rather than heavy VFX. Sometimes a reel is as simple as aligning clips to a track. What matters is consistency, rhythm, and clean execution.
Pay and workload
- £15-£20 per reel depending on complexity
- Freelance, self-employed basis, you invoice per batch
- Workload varies week to week: a handful of reels most weeks, some weeks more, some less. This is an offload role that will grow as the agency does
- Turnarounds are usually within a few days of receiving footage, so reliability matters more than speed
- Work from anywhere, all footage, briefs and delivery handled online

- Accurate, clean subtitle work (timing and spelling both matter)

To apply (important)
Include links to 2-3 short-form edits you've made, plus one line on which edit you're proudest of and why. Applications without examples of past work will not be considered, your showreel matters far more than your CV.
