This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of the brand from an early stage, explore new content formats and help shape how Gulhaya’s collections, founder journey and wider story are presented online.
Role Description
This is a freelance, project-based role for a Social Media Content Creator and Video Editor, beginning with an initial paid, in-person working day in Leeds. There is potential for regular ongoing work and the opportunity to grow alongside the brand.
The role will involve working closely with the founder to review existing footage and transform it into engaging, polished short-form content for Instagram, TikTok and other relevant social-media platforms.

Responsibilities
- Developing content concepts, writing hooks and short scripts
- Editing videos
- Creating on-screen text and captions
- Selecting appropriate music
- Establishing a consistent content style that reflects Gulhaya’s refined, feminine and quietly confident identity
The successful candidate will also help plan and create future content, including founder-led videos, behind-the-scenes footage, garment details, fittings, product development, campaign content and collection launches. This may involve developing shot lists, filming content in Leeds or on location and adapting footage for different platforms and audiences.
The role may also include:
- Creating Reel covers
- Suggesting captions and calls to action
- Recommending posting schedules
- Monitoring relevant fashion and social-media trends
- Using content performance to inform future creative decisions

Qualifications
- Strong skills in social media content creation, including filming and editing short-form video for platforms such as Instagram Reels and TikTok.
- Proficiency with video editing and graphic tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Adobe Photoshop or Canva).
- Ability to develop creative concepts, storyboards, and visual narratives that showcase fashion products and brand identity.
- Understanding of social media best practices, platform algorithms, and strategies to grow reach and engagement.
- Excellent visual sense, attention to detail, and ability to work to brand guidelines and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to take feedback and work closely with the founder.
- Relevant experience in fashion, retail, or lifestyle content creation is highly beneficial; a portfolio demonstrating social media and video work is required.
- Background in media, film, design, marketing, or a related field is an advantage, though equivalent practical experience is also valued.
