Freelance Video Editor – Remote Junior Contract
Join a dynamic photography and videography business based in Australia as a freelance video editor specializing in weddings and events. This ongoing role is ideal for a creative professional with a passion for storytelling through clean, cinematic, and emotionally resonant edits. You will be responsible for transforming raw footage into polished wedding highlight films, Instagram Reels, and short-form event videos that capture the essence of each occasion. The position offers consistent freelance work with a focus on delivering high-quality edits that meet client expectations and timelines.
Deliverables
- Edit wedding highlight films (5–10 minutes) and event videos in a cinematic, emotional style
- Create engaging Instagram Reels and short-form videos tailored for social media
- Sync audio and video tracks for seamless storytelling
- Apply basic colour correction and, where possible, advanced colour grading
- Ensure all edits maintain a clean, professional look and adhere to project briefs
- Deliver final videos within agreed turnaround times
- Collaborate remotely and communicate effectively to clarify project requirements

Requirements
- Proven experience editing wedding and event videos, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (preferred) and DaVinci Resolve; colour grading skills are a plus
- Strong understanding of cinematic editing techniques and emotional storytelling
- Ability to sync audio, perform basic colour correction, and deliver polished final products
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects with consistent deadlines
- Access to necessary editing software and high-speed internet for file transfers
- Availability for ongoing freelance work and responsive communication
