About Medly AI
We're the fastest growing EdTech startup in London, on a mission to change education forever.
This is a moment where AI-native companies are reshaping entire industries, from Cursor in code, to Midjourney in image generation, to Harvey in law. Medly is building that company for education.
Since launch, we've reached over 400,000 students with retention rates that beat Duolingo, and we've delivered personalised learning with real results. We're backed by impact-focused VCs and supported by partners including UCL, Innovate UK, Microsoft, and Google.
The role
We're looking for a freelance Videographer to work with our brand, growth, and content teams on an ongoing, rolling basis. You'll shoot and edit video across our marketing and our content - from paid ads and social to founder stories, student testimonials, and educational content.
This is a hands-on role. You'll take briefs from rough idea to finished film - planning the shoot, filming, and editing - owning the work end to end. Some shoots will be in and around London (our office, schools, events); much of the edit work is remote.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What you'll do
- Shoot and edit marketing and social video - paid ads, organic social (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts), and landing-page video
- Film founder, team, and student stories - interviews, testimonials, and behind-the-scenes content
- Produce brand and launch films - announcement videos and event coverage
- Plan and run small shoots end to end - locations, lighting, sound, and talent direction
- Turn briefs into finished, on-brand films, owning each one from pre-production to final export
- Partner with brand, growth, and content so video strengthens the marketing funnel and the brand
What we're looking for
- A strong showreel and portfolio spanning more than one of: social/ad creative, interview or documentary-style film, brand film, and short-form vertical content
- Confident behind the camera - framing, lighting, and location sound - with your own kit (or clear access to it)
- Strong editing craft in Premiere or Final Cut - pacing, story, sound design, colour, and type
- A feel for short-form social - you know what makes a hook, and how vertical video performs
- Able to take a brief and run with it independently, delivering finished work to deadline
- Reliable, communicative, and easy to collaborate with as a freelancer
