Freelance Web Designer – Tendem Project (Part-Time, Remote)

Mindrift is looking for a highly skilled Web Designer to join the Tendem project (https://tendem.ai/) and drive specialized data scraping workflows within our hybrid AI + human system.
About the Role
In this freelance, part-time, remote opportunity, you will collaborate with Tendem Agents that handle repetitive tasks, providing critical thinking, domain expertise, and layout skills to transform briefs and rough drafts into clean, on-brand, web-ready designs. The role is ideal for creative professionals with hands-on experience in UI/web design, marketing pages, and digital visual communications.

This is a freelance project-based role. As a Web Designer, you will focus on:
- Marketing pages
- Landing experiences
- Conversion-driven layouts
You will own the look and feel of all web-based materials, ensuring consistency, polish, and alignment with the broader brand ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
- Design high-converting one-pagers, pitch-style landing pages, and simple marketing sites based on textual copy, outlines, or existing drafts.
- Translate brand assets and social media visuals into responsive web layouts, structured components, and sections for seamless developer or no-code tool implementation.
- Prepare and securely package production-ready files (Figma frames, exported assets, specs) for handoff.
- Ensure absolute visual consistency across interactive web pages, static PDFs, and social materials.
- Enforce layout quality standards through systematic verification of:
- Responsiveness
- Proper spacing
- Clear visual hierarchy
- Adherence to modern web trends before delivery.
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in:
- Web design
- UI design
- Digital marketing design
- Visual communications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in:
- Web Design
- Graphic Design
- Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)
- Related creative/technical fields
Technical & Design Skills
- Figma proficiency: Mastery of scalable, responsive web layouts, auto-layout components, and design systems.
- Conversion-driven layouts: Expertise in structuring high-converting, pitch-style landing pages with a focus on clarity, spacing, and modern trends.
- Developer handoff: Strong understanding of:
- Spec documentation
- Asset packaging for no-code platforms (e.g., Webflow, Framer)
- Cross-platform consistency: Ability to translate core brand aesthetics across:
- Web pages
- Social media materials
- Pitch decks

Soft Skills & Attitude
- English proficiency: Upper-intermediate (B2) or higher (required).
- Structured, user-centric approach with a focus on conversion-driven design.
- Sharp eye for clarity, white space, and modern layout trends.
- Self-directed, troubleshooting, and fast delivery mindset.
Application Criteria

Project Time Expectations
- 10–20 hours/week during active phases (estimate only—workload varies by project).
- Part-time, remote, and project-based.
Compensation
- Up to $50/hour (equivalent), based on:
