Freight Forwarder

Main Purpose of the Role
DSV are looking to recruit a Freight Forwarder at our Immingham branch. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a busy operational department focused on large key accounts. We are seeking a professional, motivated candidate with a keen interest in the supply chain sector. This is a challenging and rewarding role.
Responsibilities
- Liaising with large key accounts supplying goods to the UK market
- Supporting domestic transport routines and international movements between Europe and the UK
- Participating in team-based scheduling, planning, and liaising with:
- Warehouses
- Logistics departments
- Haulage teams at all levels
- Customers (internally and externally)
- Assisting with KPI reporting for MBR/QBR, invoicing, and finance, including stock appraisals and reconciliation
- Conducting professional phone communications, as calls are frequent in daily operations
- Using and learning Microsoft products and bespoke DSV systems
- Managing administrative duties while prioritising daily tasks

Requirements
Skills & Attributes
- Good communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent telephone etiquette and manner
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Competitive attitude with a "seeing things through" mentality
- Ability to multi-task efficiently and balance responsibilities
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
