Outlier partners with leading AI companies to improve how artificial intelligence understands real people: how we speak, express emotion, communicate intent, and respond naturally in everyday situations.
We are looking for native French speakers who are comfortable using their voice. This project is a strong fit for people who can bring clarity, personality, and emotional range to short audio recordings. You do not need to be a professional actor, but you should be expressive, confident, and able to speak naturally in front of a microphone.
What You'll Work On
You may be asked to complete a variety of audio and text-based tasks, such as:
- Recording short audio clips
- Reading or acting brief scripts with different tones, emotions, or speaking styles
- Listening to or reviewing audio clips and capturing details in text
- Helping improve AI systems' understanding of human speech, tone, and expression

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
