Operating either as individual specialists or as a fully integrated team, we leverage our extensive experience in security and fire systems, gates, and barriers to deliver optimal results for our customers.
In 2018, Frocester Security and Frocester Fire were founded by Stephen Taylor, Managing Director. Under the leadership of Tom Allerton, Security Director, and James Joyce, Fire Director, the teams have built a network of trusted partners, including LenelS2, Hanwha Vision, Avigilon, Honeywell, and Gallagher. Their expertise and commitment to a customer-first approach have been recognised with prestigious certifications, including NSI Gold, BAFE, and Safe Contractor awards. In 2024 we introduced a new service, Gates and Barriers.
Today, Frocester Group serves a diverse range of sectors, from retailers and sports brands to commercial real estate and residential property companies, operating a 24/7 service.

Job Description
As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:
- Access Control
- Video Surveillance
- Intruder Alarms
- Fire Alarms
(Amend based on what the employer offers - add in brand of equipment where possible)
Entry Requirements
- Driving License desirable
- Must have Maths & English
- Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check
- Must be from the Swindon area

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.
You’ll train through block release at our Gloucester centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).
You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.
What you’ll do as part of the programme:
- Train hands-on with real systems
- Learn from industry experts
- Complete a wide range of tasks and projects
- Build evidence from your job to support your learning
- Sit annual assessments at the centre
