About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Developer to join ADLIB’s dynamic team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead the development of complex ecommerce platforms built on Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing scalable, high-performance, and accessible frontend solutions for large-scale online retail environments. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, UX designers, QA specialists, and stakeholders, to translate business needs into innovative technical solutions. This position is ideal for a passionate frontend specialist who enjoys tackling technical challenges, optimizing user experiences, and driving frontend architecture decisions. Being part of a remote-first team, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK, with opportunities for professional development and career progression within a supportive environment.
Qualifications
- Proven commercial experience as a Frontend Developer within ecommerce environments, particularly with Magento Open Source and/or Adobe Commerce.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+), with a solid understanding of modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or similar.
- Experience with component-based development, state management, and building reusable UI components.
- Hands-on experience integrating REST and GraphQL APIs into frontend applications.
- Demonstrable experience in developing product pages, checkout processes, and ecommerce user journeys.
- Deep understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development strategies.
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques, including Core Web Vitals and frontend performance best practices.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and WCAG guidelines to ensure inclusive user experiences.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git, along with pull requests and code review processes.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks like Playwright or Cypress.
- Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in agency environments or with tools like Jira is advantageous.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Frontend Developer at ADLIB, your primary responsibility will be to lead the design and implementation of frontend solutions across Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce platforms. You will take ownership of frontend architecture, ensuring that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and performant. Your role includes:
- Building reusable components

- Ensuring that digital experiences meet high standards of accessibility and user engagement
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical deliverables
- Participating in technical discovery sessions
- Advising on frontend technology choices
