Front End Developer – Options Trading Team (US Trading Hours)

A dynamic and entrepreneurial options trading team is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Front-End Developer. This role is ideal for those who enjoy building intuitive, high-performance dashboards and tools while working closely with quants & traders to deliver best-in-class applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and Develop UIs: Design and implement front-end applications such as trading dashboards, risk and monitoring tools, and research interfaces using React and TypeScript.
- UX & Design: Own the end-to-end UX standards for key tools, collaborating directly with traders, and quants to translate workflows into clean, intuitive interfaces and interaction patterns.
- Data-Rich Interfaces: Develop and maintain rich, interactive data visualisations and tables, with a focus on clarity, usability, and performance.
- Harmonise Existing Tools: Standardise and consolidate existing internal web tools into a cohesive, consistent, and maintainable UI ecosystem, reducing friction and context-switching for end-users.

Required Qualifications:
- Front-End Expertise: Strong proficiency with React and TypeScript, including component-based architecture, state management, and modern front-end tooling.
- UI/UX Skills: Demonstrated ability to design and implement clean, user-friendly interfaces and workflows, with attention to usability and visual clarity.
- Data Visualisation & Grids: Experience building data-heavy UIs using advanced grid and charting components such as AG Grid and AM5 Charts.
- Web Fundamentals: Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and browser performance.
- Collaboration & Ownership: Ability to work independently, engage directly with end users, and own features from requirements gathering through design, implementation, and iteration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Financial / Trading Interest: An interest in markets and trading (e.g., personal/PA trading, prior exposure to trading environments, or building tools for data-driven decision making). Extensive prior financial experience is not required.
- Data-Driven Applications: Experience building tools for data analysis, monitoring, or decision support, particularly involving time series, tabular data, or complex dashboards.
- Python Familiarity: Comfort reading and interacting with Python-based back-end code and data pipelines for integration purposes.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys owning UI projects end-to-end, and wants to apply their skills to complex, data-rich problems.
