Front-end Developer (React)
Build technology that helps businesses waste less energy and reduce carbon emissions.
At Best.Energy, we combine technology, data, and energy expertise to help organisations reduce waste before energy is even used. Using our own IoT systems, intelligent analytics, and interactive software, we help customers lower costs, cut carbon, and operate more sustainably.
We’re now looking for a talented React Front End Developer to help shape the next generation of our customer platform. You’ll work on the front end of our online energy management system, building interactive dashboards, visualisations, predictive tools, and customer-facing features that turn complex energy data into clear, useful insights.
This is a role for someone who enjoys improving existing products just as much as creating entirely new experiences from scratch.
What You’ll Be Doing
Developing and improving React-based web applications Building engaging dashboards, reports, and data visualisations Creating clean, intuitive user experiences from complex datasets Integrating APIs and external data sources Collaborating with our small full-stack development team and wider business Contributing ideas, innovation, and continuous improvements to the platform Helping shape future customer tools and products

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
