Drivvn is a fast-growing B2B SaaS company transforming the automotive industry through cutting-edge eCommerce solutions. Founded in 2020 and operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of the TCC Group, Drivvn empowers major automotive brands like Stellantis, Ford, Volvo, and Volkswagen to deliver seamless online vehicle buying experiences. More recently it has entered the vehicle leasing space, working with MHC and Leasys. Its digital retail platform supports every stage of the automotive sales and leasing journey—from vehicle configuration to financing—while enabling real-time integration and omnichannel capabilities. The company predominantly operates in Europe, with plans for expansion. Drivvn generated approximately £8 million in revenue for FY24.

Primary Purpose & Scope

As a Front-End Engineer within our product engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering delightful, production-ready customer experiences across our SaaS platform and products. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to build performant, scalable, and maintainable applications while developing your technical expertise and contributing to our engineering culture.

Our front-end applications are built using JavaScript (TypeScript), React, Next.js, and Nx. Our platform is cloud-native and we use Kubernetes extensively (AKS) to run our applications and services. Overall, we are not precious about specific technology and are always looking to use the most appropriate technology to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build features in the right way by working with your fellow team members to complete technical tasks and deliver production-ready features continuously. We value clean, modular code with high levels of test automation to ensure we maintain excellent quality levels across the platform.
  • Translate UI/UX designs into performant, responsive, and accessible front-end code using React, TypeScript, and CSS, following established best practices for component design and reusability.
  • Work with back-end developers to integrate UI components with APIs effectively, ensuring reliable data flow and proper error handling throughout the application.
  • Ensure everything you build is production-ready and observable. We constantly strive for production excellence and believe in building a true DevOps culture where engineers run what they build.
  • Work closely with the product team and contribute to both ideation and product discovery, paying close attention to detail with a passion for outstanding user experience design.
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions, sharing knowledge with team members while continuously developing your skills through feedback and learning opportunities.
  • Contribute to technical decision-making by evaluating trade-offs, participating in proof-of-concepts, and supporting technologies and methodologies that align with our business objectives.
  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of production standards by implementing observability, monitoring, and performance optimisation in your deliverables.

About You

  • Good foundation engineering skills with solid knowledge of version control (Git), automated testing, and continuous integration/delivery within container-based environments. Understanding of scalable frontend architecture principles.
  • Good front-end JavaScript programming skills (with a preference for TypeScript) and experience with modern web frameworks. Good understanding of functional, component-based web development using ReactJS, NextJS, and styled components. Growing expertise in key areas such as CSS architecture, performance optimisation, or accessibility.
  • Strong web design skills and proficiency in building mobile-first, responsive web apps using elegant CSS. An appreciation of Core Web Vitals and optimising for loading, interactivity, accessibility, and visual stability.
  • Track record of delivering delightful web experiences with a good eye for design and ability to balance technical trade-offs effectively.
  • Eagerness to learn from senior team members while taking ownership of feature delivery. Ability to work collaboratively with guidance when needed, thriving in our dynamic environment that values adaptability and proactive problem-solving.
  • A positive, proactive, and energetic attitude with strong communication skills and growing leadership potential to help us transform the digital automotive buying experience!
