Front End React Developer | 6-Month Contract | Manchester (Hybrid)
Contract: Initial 6 months with the potential for another 12-month extension
Location: Manchester (4 days onsite, 1 WFH)
We are working with a leading enterprise organisation seeking an experienced Front End React Developer to join a high-performing engineering team delivering modern customer-facing web applications.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of new digital products while helping to drive engineering best practices within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain modern frontend applications using React and JavaScript.
- Build reusable, component-based user interfaces.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional Agile teams.
- Support the delivery of high-quality, scalable software through modern development practices.
- Contribute to code reviews and mentor other developers where appropriate.
- Promote engineering best practices across the team.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' commercial experience in frontend development.
- Strong experience with React and JavaScript.
- Solid knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Experience with component-based architecture.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g. Git).
- Experience working within Agile development teams.
- Previous experience in a senior or technical leadership capacity.

Desirable Skills
- Exposure to backend software engineering.
- Understanding of networking concepts (subnets, firewalls, load balancing, VPNs).
- Knowledge of security and identity management.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
