About The Role
Digital are responsible for delivering customer-facing digital platforms and experiences across BT Business. You design and build scalable, high-quality frontend applications that improve customer experience and enable faster delivery of digital products. Your work ensures performance, accessibility, and seamless integration across platforms. This role supports BT’s strategy to simplify operations, adopt modern technologies (including AI), and deliver consistent, high-quality digital experiences across all channels.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build responsive, accessible frontend applications using React.js, Next.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS
- Work with UX/UI designers to turn designs into high-quality user interfaces
- Integrate frontend systems with AEM using APIs, GraphQL, and headless CMS approaches
- Collaborate with backend teams to design and consume REST and GraphQL APIs
- Support development of headless content delivery for omnichannel experiences
- Use Node.js and core Java concepts when working on integrations
- Work with API gateways (Apigee) for security and performance
- Use AI-assisted tools to improve development speed and code quality
- Review and optimise code for performance, scalability, and security
- Apply SEO, accessibility (WCAG), and performance best practices
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git-based workflows
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across frontend and integrated systems
- Work with Adobe tools (Analytics, Target, Launch) to improve user experience
- Stay up to date with frontend and CMS trends

Essential Skills / Experience
- Strong experience in frontend development (React.js, Next.js, JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Good understanding of APIs (REST, GraphQL) and system integration
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (KIRO CLI)
- Experience working with headless CMS (AEM preferred)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git, Jenkins)
- Understanding of web performance, accessibility, and SEO
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Cloud tools
- Knowledge of Apigee or API gateway technologies
- Familiarity with Node.js and backend integration concepts
- Understanding of prompt engineering and AI workflows in software development
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior developers
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
