About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Software Engineer Specialist to lead the evolution of our ARC Design System, delivering consistent, scalable, accessible, and high-performing user experiences across our digital products. As a technical leader and individual contributor, you will play a pivotal role in defining frontend architecture, building reusable UI components, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering best practices. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, UX/UI Designers, Scrum Masters, and engineering teams to ensure the design system continues to enable rapid product development while maintaining consistency and quality across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex frontend challenges, influencing technical direction, and building platforms that empower other development teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide technical leadership for frontend architecture and design system evolution.
- Lead technical discussions and influence architectural decisions across engineering teams.
- Drive adoption of design system standards, reusable patterns, and frontend best practices.
- Champion clean code, maintainable architecture, and engineering excellence.
- Identify technical risks and proactively recommend solutions to improve scalability and reliability.
- Evaluate emerging frontend technologies and AI-assisted development capabilities to improve developer productivity.

Essential Skills / Experience
- React, Typescript, Nextjs Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and AI integrations.
- Familiarity with design tokens and token management platforms.
- Experience building or contributing to enterprise Design Systems.
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Strong understanding of React Hooks, Context API, and advanced component patterns.
- Experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale Design Systems.
- Hands-on experience with Storybook and component-driven development.
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or similar.
