About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced and creative Front-End Technical Lead to join our Engineering team، shaping the architectural direction, mentoring team members, and driving technical excellence. This strategic yet hands-on role demands bold ownership—your ability to shape decisions, guide high-performing teams, and allign with Arbor’s vision for scalable, joyful ecosystems of learning and leadership.
Our teams prioritise removing ** unjustified friction** for school staff and giving them the clarity and control they desperately need. Core Responsibilities
- Architecture & Leadership: Direct front-end development decisions, elevating the team’s output to a new standard of modularity, scalability, and maintainability. Serve as a technical visionary for all digital change initiatives, optimizing for impact and sustainability.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Design and Product teams to assure every feature aligns with our Design System and user-experience strategy. Streamline complex requirements into actionable solutions that balance creativity with business needs.
- Technical Documentation: Author and maintain clear,detailed documentation— outlining architectural rationale, design patterns, and new component dependencies—to ensure onboarding and shared learning within the tech community.
- Hi-Level Quality Assurance: Champion test-driven development and advanced testing practices in partnership with QE teams. Foster robust standards (unit, integration, and end-to-end tests) to safeguard stability and elevate reliability in a fast-moving environment.
- Inspire & Mentor: Guide new engineers down best-practice corridors while fostering an inclusive culture where curiosity and problem-solving flourish. Inspire code quality and adherence to modern development principles.

Requirements
Must-Haves
- Extensive expertise (preferably >6 years) with React, Typescript, and JavaScript—Architecture should never surprise you.
- Front-end build tools: Deep familiarity with Webpack, Vite, npm/Yarn, and other stack staples.
- Software Engineering & Solidity: Advanced knowledge of industry best practices (DRY, SOLID, Single Responsibility Principle) and the ability to implement them trainingly.
- Data Fluency: Intimacy with APIs, data fetching strategies (GraphQL/apocentric CRUD), and thoughtful state management—React state and Redux/G खोoed roughly the same horse.
- Leadership Experience: Track record guiding teams and making high-stakes technical trade-offs under iteration constraints.
- Team DNA: A "muck-in" attitude with curiosity—forge consensus through questions,tools any gaps with patience.
- English Proficiency: Fluent (written and spoken) to lead discussions, pair program, and collaborate clearly across departments.
Desirable Skills
- In-depth knowledge of WCAG and accessibility patterns (e.g., ARIA labels, keyboard navigation checks).
- PHP or backend familiarity (working with API enthusiasm from the client-side).
- Terminal and linting knowledge: Automatic CI integration, page-optimization, and performance audits.
- System Scale: Previous experience with monolithic-enterprise systems or landing solutions that surface as industry standards.
- Agile Processes: Competency with Scrum/Jira/visualisation and adaptability to discrete kanban workflows.
- Cloud & Architecture: Familiarity with Docker/containerisation, JAMstack/Nuxt, Next.js, or any tech you’ve blown up guiltlessly.
- Patterns in Code: Advanced work with refactoring, domain-driven design (DDD), Clean Patterns, Test-Driven Development (TDD).

Interview Process
