We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, friendly and customer-focused to join the team at The Higgins Art Gallery and Museum Bedford, located close to the town centre.
Your role will be to deliver excellent customer service to the public and welcome a diverse range of visitors to the museum. As a Casual Front of House Assistant you will provide cover for shifts as per the opening hours. You may be contacted at short notice to cover all or part of the working day, so good availability and a flexible attitude to work is essential. You will be excellent at multitasking, have a proactive approach and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently. You will have excellent customer service skills and be able to use ICT competently and securely.
The main duties include:
- Engaging with visitors to provide information about The Higgins Bedford, its collections, and event programme
- Responding to visitor enquiries
- Undertaking reception duties including serving customers, shop and ticket cash & card sales, telephone enquiries, group bookings
- Surveillance duties in the galleries
