The Arding Rooms is our award-winning private members' club and events venue, located within the beautifully restored Arding & Hobbs building in the heart of Clapham Junction. We've created a welcoming space where members and guests can work, socialise, dine, and celebrate.
Alongside our members' club offering, The Arding Rooms hosts a varied programme of private events, from intimate gatherings and business meetings, to larger celebrations and community gatherings. The cherry on top is our stunning roof terrace, with panoramic views of London's iconic skyline!!
We are currently looking for a passionate and polished Front of House Assistant to join the team on a variable contract (25/30 hrs per week). The club is open every day from 8am to late, so shifts will vary across weekdays and weekends, and will be a mix of morning, afternoon, and evening.
The hourly rate is £14 + service.
The bit about the role
We're looking for an experienced hospitality professional, to join our front of house team to help us deliver exceptional experiences for both our members and event guests.
This is a varied role that combines front-of-house service at our all-day dining restaurant, with event support. Whether you're welcoming members for lunch, serving drinks on the roof terrace, or helping set up for a private function, you'll play an important role in creating the warm, welcoming atmosphere The Arding Rooms is known for.

Responsibilities will include:
- Providing friendly, attentive, and professional service to members and guests.
- Taking food and drink orders and serving confidently across restaurant, bar, and event settings.
- Supporting the setup, delivery, and breakdown of private events and functions.
- Maintaining high standards of presentation throughout the venue, including the roof terrace.
- Ensuring all member and guest areas are clean, organized, and ready for service.
- Working closely with colleagues across hospitality and events to deliver seamless experiences.
- Building positive relationships with our members to ensure they feel welcome and at ease.

- Is reliable, organized, and proactive.
- Can adapt confidently between restaurant service, terrace service, and event operations.
- Is flexible and available to work a range of weekday, evening, and weekend shifts.
- Has previous premium hospitality experience.
