The Role
We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our Food & Beverage Team as a Front of House Complex Supervisor.
The Front of House Complex Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations at our food and bars - Amelia's Café, The Warren Bar, The Swan Pub and The Pizza Kitchen. The main goal of a Front of House Supervisor is to assist the Front of House Manager and/or Head of Department to ensure every Team member is performing to the best of their ability while conforming to company policy, procedures and goals.
Responsibilities
- Ensure each bar is set up for service with correct stock, equipment, and cleanliness.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and organisation across all bar areas.
- Understand and comply with licensing regulations and the venues to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Ensure the Weights and Measures Act and Trade Descriptions Act are always adhered to.
- Undertake any necessary training as deemed necessary by management.
- Support the FOH Manager in the day-to-day running of the bars and restaurants.
- Troubleshoot operational issues to ensure smooth service.
- Assist with checking incoming deliveries, noting any shortages/discrepancies.
- Assist with effective rotation of stock using the F.I.F.O method and notify the Front of House Manager of any stock shortages.
- Assist with the correct recording of wastage.
- Train FOH team on drink specifications, service standards, and upselling techniques.
- Deliver cocktail training sessions and ensure consistency in preparation and presentation.
- Provide ongoing coaching to upskill the team, focusing on guest engagement and product knowledge.
- Develop team confidence in wine knowledge and cocktail service.
- Assist the departmental manager with taking responsibility for security, keys and codes, following the Company keys and codes policy.
- Taking charge of day-to-day operations, from supervising team to managing customer interactions, guaranteeing a seamless and pleasant experience for all.
- Nurturing a positive and productive work environment, fostering teamwork and motivating our dedicated team members to achieve their potential.
- Be an ambassador of the Cofton Holidays brand, ensure that the business is always presented at its best.
- Help to create an environment where all employees enjoy themselves whilst at work and make a real contribution to the success of the business.
- Assist the departmental manager with preparing team rotas as and when required and the correct recording of holidays, attendance and team remuneration.
