Front of House / Micro-Kitchen Attendant

Front of House & Micro-Kitchen Attendant

Role Overview

Part-time (20h a week) – Mon–Fri (various shifts)

The Front of House & Micro-Kitchen Attendant delivers exceptional customer service while ensuring smooth beverage and buffet operations. You’ll maintain coffee stations, manage food and drink replenishment, and uphold the highest hygiene and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

Buffet & Food Service

  • Monitor and restock the buffet of sandwiches, pastries, and beverages, ensuring freshness and availability throughout the day.
  • Collaborate with the back office to track stock levels and facilitate timely replenishment.
  • Set up and clear the breakfast and lunch buffet areas, maintaining cleanliness and appealing presentation.

Coffee & Beverage Service

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot/cold drinks (coffee, tea, specialty beverages) with precision.
  • Maintain and clean the coffee station, including machines and equipment.
  • Provide friendly, professional service, taking orders and offering recommendations.
  • Ensure consistent quality, adhering to recipes and customer preferences while handling high-volume periods.

Micro-Kitchen Setup & Replenishment

  • Set up and restock micro-kitchen areas with snacks and beverages as needed.

Customer Service

  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences, addressing inquiries, recommendations, and special requests.
  • Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

Cleanliness & Maintenance

  • Keep the front-of-house area spotless, including coffee stations, buffet counters, and utensils.
  • Follow company hygiene and food safety protocols, including proper storage and disposal of items.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the back office to ensure smooth operations and stock availability.
  • Promote mutual respect and clear communication within the team, especially during peak times.

Adherence to Procedures

  • Follow all established culinary processes, including portion control, food handling, and safety guidelines.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a barista or in front-of-house roles, ideally in café/food service.
  • Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage preparation.
  • Strong customer service skills with a Level of professionalism and positivity.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication with guests and team members.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with front/back-office colleagues.

Additional Requirements

  • Strict adherence to company standards and procedures.
  • Reliability in following the scheduled shifts, clocking in/out punctually.
