Coniston Inn, set on the stunning shores of Coniston Water, is a classic Lakeland slate building offering sensational views of the lake and surrounding fells. Recently restored, it stands as a beautiful landmark, just a short walk from the tranquil waters—perfect for celebrating nature’s awe-inspiring beauty.
As a Front of House Member, you’ll be the first smile that greets every guest, creating an atmosphere where they feel truly welcome. Whether serving food, drinks, or simply making their visit unforgettable, your role is central to our success—and ours to yours.

Role Responsibilities
- Give impeccable front-of-house service – welcome guests effortlessly, take orders, and deliver exceptional service
- Build and maintain a warm, friendly atmosphere – make every guest feel like a valued part of the community
- Operate across all service areas – serve food and drinks, manage tables, and ensure seamless dining experiences
- Promote key products and special drinks/proations – boost our can and food sales
- Help facilitate smooth operations – assist with table layouts, staffing support, and movement during busy times
- Embrace flexibility and adaptability – be ready for any shift requirement or service demand
- Uphold our values of warmth, respect, and honesty – set a positive tone that reflects our IRP Principles

Requirements
- Warm, friendly demeanour – you’ll build rapport with guests effortlessly.
- Customer service experience preferred – but passion trumps prior work if you have the energy to roll up your sleeves!
- Flexible availability – including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
- Team player – because every role here needs support from its colleagues.
- Physical stamina – shifting dials, moving cutlery, cleaning tables, and carrying heavy items.
- Positive attitude – keeping morale and service high with determination.
- Und classificação 18+ – entrustment with responsible service.
Age-related pay rates apply for staff under the age of 21.
