Location: Plymouth Contract Type: Part-time, Ad-hoc (variable hours) Hourly Rate: £12.84 per hour
This role operates on a bank basis, meaning hours are flexible and dictated by business needs and your availability. Delivering exceptional first impressions is key—you’ll be the welcoming face of our gym, balancing warmth, empathy, and professionalism to ensure every member and visitor feels valued from the moment they arrive.
About the Role
Our Front of House Team Members play a fundamental role in shaping the customer experience. You’ll embody our friendly, proactive ethos while contributing to the smooth operation of reception and café services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering exceptional customer service with confidence, handling queries with care and professionalism.
- Supporting the reception and café teams, ensuring a welcoming environment for members and visitors.
- Assisting the café team with preparing and serving fresh, healthy food and drinks.
- Assisting with lifeguarding duties, including swimming to a high standard and undergoing on-site training.
- Ensuring all interactions are friendly, relaxed, and built on a foundation of mutual respect.

Requirements
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to engage compassionately with diverse individuals.
- Basic IT proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Flexibility, motivation, and a proactive attitude—your initiative will set you apart.
- Proficiency in swimming (to cover lifeguard shifts, with optional training provided).
