Front of House Team Member
Location: Surbiton Fitness and Wellbeing Club
Type: Temporary / On-Call (Bank Staff) Rate: £13.10 per hour
This role operates under an ad-hoc schedule—you’ll work when needed, fitting shifts around your availability and the club’s requirements.
About the Role
Delivering an outstanding first impression is key to our success. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate professional to act as our welcoming face—someone who can connect warmly with members and guests while ensuring exceptional customer care.
Successful candidates will thrive in a team environment, balancing front-of-house duties with café support. A strong swim ability is also essential, as occasional lifeguard duties may be required during breaks.

- Deliver exceptional customer service to all club visitors, ensuring they feel valued and supported
- Maintain a friendly, professional front desk and café environment
- Answer queries with courtesy and care, offering reassuring and helpful guidance
- Assist the café team by preparing and serving fresh, healthy meals and drinks
- Undertake swimming assessments and complete on-site lifeguard training if required for shift coverage
Requirements
- Proven ability to communicate clearly (both in person and over the phone)
- Strong empathy and customer service skills
- Basic IT proficiency (MS Word & Excel familiarity)
- A motivated, proactive approach to your work
- Licence to work in the UK
- Strong swim ability (capable of covering lifeguard duties if required)
