Purpose Of Role
To create a welcoming, calm, and efficient front-of-house experience for visitors, members, and staff, ensuring Reception is consistently staffed, tidy, and visitor-ready.

This is an ideal opportunity for a school leaver or graduate who is keen to start their career in a professional office environment. You will support the Front of House & Facilities Manager with day-to-day reception operations, meeting room readiness, office supplies, basic IT, and administration.
What We Will Expect You To Do
- Provide a friendly, professional welcome to all visitors and members, ensuring an excellent first impression
- Register and manage visitors with building reception at ground floor using their systems
- Escort guests to meeting rooms
- Maintain a tidy, professional Reception area and remain visible/available at the desk throughout the day
- Monitor and manage the general enquiries inbox, forwarding queries to the correct teams
- Support simple internal tracking tasks
- Support meeting room bookings using our Skedda system, including moving bookings where required by liaising with the booker, and communicating changes clearly
- Ensure meeting rooms and conference rooms are tidy, stocked, and ready for use
- Make sure that the technology in the meeting rooms is ready, and escalating if not
- Assist with catering set-up for meetings (e.g., breakfasts, lunches, drinks trolleys) including senior-level meetings
- Assist with ordering and maintaining office supplies (e.g., kitchen supplies, stationery, branded items)
- Support deliveries and post: receiving items, handing over appropriately, and booking couriers when required
- Escalate facilities issues promptly (e.g., toilets, printers, general faults) to the Front of House & Facilities Manager
- Undertake First Aider and Fire Marshal training early in the role as part of your development
- As you progress and once you are ready, you will take on more tasks, activities, and responsibilities.

We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Is friendly, approachable, and confident
- Enjoys helping and solving problems
- Is well organized with good attention to detail (especially with visitors, bookings, and admin)
- Is able to stay calm when Reception is busy
- Has good written and verbal communication
- Is comfortable using Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word) and happy to learn internal systems
This is an entry-level role, and we welcome applications from school leavers or graduates.
Helpful (but Not Essential)
- Customer service, hospitality, retail, or office admin experience
- Experience using booking systems or handling enquiries
- Interest in office operations, facilities, events, or workplace support
