The hotel features 267 guestrooms and suites along with a collection of distinctive food and beverage experiences including a brasserie, café bar, wine lounge, gastropub and Japanese restaurant, creating a diverse and fast-paced environment for colleagues. Andaz also offers 14 unique meeting and event spaces including the historic 1901 Ballroom and the Masonic Temple, both rich in character and heritage.

Duties and Responsibilities Related to the Front Office Manager Role

  • Uphold Hyatt standards at all times, ensuring every process is delivered in line with brand expectations and operational excellence.
  • Partner closely with the Executive Housekeeper and team to ensure rooms are ready on time and guest wait times are kept to a minimum.
  • Work hand in hand with the Director of Engineering to coordinate preventive maintenance and support smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborate with Guest Services to elevate both the arrival and departure experience, creating seamless and memorable guest journeys.
  • Oversee Front Office training, building confidence, capability, and consistency across the team.
  • Work closely with HR to support development plans and strengthen team performance.
  • Drive enrolment success by ensuring the team consistently achieves target levels.
  • Maximise upselling opportunities by coaching the team to recognise and act on guest needs in a thoughtful and effective way.

About You

You are an experienced and highly organised Front Office professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You bring proven experience in a similar Front Office Manager role and have a strong understanding of front desk operations, reservations systems, and exceptional guest service standards.

You are a confident and inspiring leader who knows how to support, motivate, and develop a team while keeping service levels consistently high. Your communication skills are excellent, and you handle guest questions, requests, and challenges with calm professionalism and a solutions-focused approach.

You enjoy working collaboratively and understand the importance of strong partnerships with housekeeping, engineering, guest services, and HR to deliver a smooth and efficient operation. You have a sharp eye for detail, a strong commercial mindset, and a genuine passion for creating outstanding guest experiences. Above all, you are guest-focused, service-driven, and committed to helping both guests and colleagues feel their best.
