Senior Front Office Software Engineer – Python/React - Commodities Trading
Orbis are partnering with a Commodities Trading firm on the evolution of their proprietary trading platforms. They are now looking to hire a new team of Full Stack Software Engineers with strong Python and React experience to take them on the next phase of their journey.
This is an incredible opportunity to have a direct impact on PnL, working directly with Traders and the Front Office in an organisation at the intersection of data, technology, and trading, alongside an exceptionally high-performing team of technologists.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Partnering directly with Traders to build new tools and systems written in high-performance code, having a direct impact on PnL
- Designing and developing solutions to manage trading positions, and provide the real-time actionable insights which drive Front Office decision-making
- Designing cloud-native tools integrating with the Front Office platforms to provide enhanced analytics and tooling for Traders and Front Office teams

To be a successful applicant, you will need:
- Exceptional programming capability in Python with a deep understanding of Object Oriented Programming and Computer Science fundamentals
- Strong commercial Front-end experience with React
- Previous experience working in a top-tier engineering environment - big tech, high-frequency trading, hedge funds or similarly elite technical setting
