Join a Front Office software engineering team that develops the platforms and analytics supporting Commodities and Global Markets trading activity.

Working at the intersection of technology and business, you will build innovative solutions that help traders and quantitative specialists make informed decisions, while contributing to the growth, agility and digitalisation of a fast-paced global business.

We are a global financial services group operating in 30 markets with 57 years of unbroken profitability.

At Macquarie, you’re empowered to shape a career that is fulfilling and creates value. You will bring your insights and expertise to the task at hand and feel supported as you make your own kind of impact for a better future.

You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through to delivery and ongoing enhancement, while applying software engineering best practices and supporting the adoption of strategic technologies. In a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of your work, influence technical direction and deliver solutions that create measurable business impact.

What You Offer

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technology and business teams
  • Experience with AWS, NoSQL databases, Linux or Unix environments, C++, and exposure to financial markets or risk management concepts is beneficial but not essential

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
