Frontend JavaScript Developer
UI/UX Focus | React | Node.js | Hybrid (Hitchin) | £60,000-£70,000
The Opportunity
We're partnering with an innovative construction technology business that's transforming how infrastructure projects are delivered. Their products combine hardware, software and intelligent data collection to automate key processes on construction sites, helping improve quality, increase safety and reduce costs across the industry. With continued growth across the UK, Ireland and the US, they're investing heavily in R&D and building the next generation of their platform.
As part of this growth, they're looking for a Frontend JavaScript Developer who loves building intuitive, beautifully designed user experiences. This isn't just a React development role. They're looking for someone who genuinely cares about how software feels to use. Someone who enjoys solving UX problems, designing clean interfaces and creating products that people actually enjoy working with. You'll join a collaborative engineering team where your input into both development and product design will genuinely shape the future of the platform.
What you'll be doing
You'll be involved throughout the product lifecycle, working closely with engineers and the wider business to build modern web and mobile applications.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
