Frontend Developer - South Manchester

Build the Future of Digital Finance

Our client is an ambitious and fast-growing financial services business using technology to transform the lending experience for businesses and customers. Their mission is to simplify complex financial processes through intuitive digital products, automation, and intelligent technology.

As part of their continued growth, our client is looking for an experienced Frontend Developer to join their technology team and play a pivotal role in the next phase of their journey. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly alongside the CEO and senior leadership, helping to shape both the technology strategy and the products that power the business. The successful candidate will have genuine ownership, the ability to influence technical decisions, and the chance to work on projects that have a direct impact on the organisation's growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build modern, responsive web applications using React.
  • Develop and deploy applications using Vercel.
  • Build scalable solutions with Supabase, including authentication, databases, storage, and backend services.
  • Integrate internal and third-party APIs.
  • Develop automated testing using Playwright.
  • Support backend services and automation using Python.
  • Write efficient and scalable SQL queries.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative digital solutions.
  • Explore and implement AI-powered features, including integrations with Large Language Models (LLMs) and intelligent automation tools.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Commercial experience developing applications with React.
  • Strong experience using Supabase.
  • Experience deploying applications with Vercel.
  • Solid understanding of API integration and development.
  • Experience working with SQL databases.
  • Knowledge of Playwright or similar testing frameworks.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Desirable

  • Experience working with AI technologies, including LLMs and AI APIs.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
  • TypeScript experience.
