About the Role
Build the next generation of mission-critical visual technology. We're partnering with one of the UK's most exciting defence technology start-ups—a rapidly scaling business bringing together exceptional engineers from Palantir, Microsoft, Tractable and other world-leading technology companies.
Their mission is to build cutting-edge software that gives users unparalleled awareness of complex, real-world environments. Think digital twins, real-time situational awareness, AI-powered analytics, geospatial intelligence, sensor fusion and immersive 3D visualisation.
They're now looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to help shape the visual experiences behind these next-generation platforms.
This is a chance to work on products that push the boundaries of modern frontend engineering, blending beautiful user experiences with complex data, real-time systems and advanced graphics.

What you'll be doing
- Building modern frontend applications using TypeScript, React and modern web technologies.
- Developing high-performance 3D graphics using technologies such as Three.js, WebGL, Babylon.js or similar.
- Creating advanced mapping experiences using platforms such as Mapbox, Cesium, Leaflet or comparable GIS technologies.
- Building sophisticated data visualisations using libraries such as D3.js, Deck.gl or similar.
- Optimising rendering performance for large-scale datasets and real-time visualisation.
- Working alongside software, systems, AI and hardware engineers to build truly integrated products.
- Helping shape the technical direction of an engineering-first organisation.
What they're looking for
You'll likely have experience with several of the following:
- Commercial frontend development using React, TypeScript or JavaScript.
- 3D graphics, rendering or visualisation technologies.
- Digital twins, simulation platforms or interactive visual environments.
- Geospatial technologies, GIS or mapping platforms.
- Real-time data processing and streaming applications.
- Data visualisation and analytical interfaces.
- Performance optimisation for graphics-heavy web applications.
- A passion for solving technically challenging problems and building products that genuinely make an impact.
