Frontend Engineer Intern

Olive Tree Consulting is currently assisting a London-based financial services firm with a project focused on improving their internal management systems and decision-making processes. As a Frontend Engineer Intern, you will help us build the tools and interfaces that make these management habits visible and easier to follow. This is a full-time, fully remote internship designed for someone early in their career who wants to focus on building practical, clear software for professional use.

About the Role

We believe that how a team sees its own work often dictates how well they perform. In this role, you will support our advisory team by developing internal websites and dashboards that help our client visualize their organizational structure and decision-making history. The London-based financial services firm we are supporting has complex internal data, and our job is to present it in a way that is simple and actionable. You will work alongside our consultants to ensure the technical interface supports the quiet, clear management style we advocate for. This position exists to bridge the gap between abstract advice and the digital tools the client uses every day.

What You Will Do

  • Write clean and maintainable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build user interfaces for internal client projects.
  • Convert structural diagrams and management maps into functional web-based views.
  • Collaborate with our team to refine how data is displayed, ensuring it reduces cognitive load for the end-user.
  • Debug and test frontend code to ensure stability across different web browsers.
  • Maintain clear technical notes and documentation to help the team understand the choices made in the codebase.
  • Participate in remote team meetings to coordinate project timelines and review technical progress.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About Olive Tree

Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear. These are rarely personality problems: they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company's growth.

We favor practical changes over large-scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own.

The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow-up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
