About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Software Engineer within JPMorgan Chase's Corporate Technology division. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our technology landscape by leading the development and implementation of innovative, secure, and scalable software solutions. As a core member of an agile team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering trusted market-leading products that support the firm’s strategic objectives. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in conducting comprehensive technology solutions across multiple domains, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our systems. You will also play a vital role in fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, working closely with internal teams, external vendors, and startups to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies.

Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and practices
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and CSS
- Strong understanding of automation and continuous delivery methodologies
- Proficiency in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Deep knowledge of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
- Experience with React as a micro-frontend container
- Technical expertise in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile applications
- In-depth understanding of the financial services industry and its IT systems
- Experience developing user-facing applications with React and collaborating with UX/UI teams
- Practical experience with cloud-native architectures and deployment
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot innovative software solutions that meet business requirements
- Develop secure, high-quality production code, review, and debug code written by team members
- Identify opportunities to automate and remediate recurring issues to improve operational stability
- Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials
- Drive awareness and adoption of new and emerging technologies through communities of practice
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure technology products
- Contribute to a team culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and mutual respect
- Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate best practices into project development
