About Augur

Augur transforms legacy sensor systems into real-time operational intelligence. We help organisations act before threats escalate – not after damage is done. Everything we build is privacy-first by design.

Our platform connects to existing cameras and sensors to detect threats, retrace events, and surface real-time insights – all without replacing a single device. Augur helps teams reduce risk, cut costs, and grow revenue through better visibility, faster decisions, and fewer blind spots.

Our culture is built on a foundation of radical candor and mutual trust. We recognise that being an industry leader requires more than just building exceptional products – it requires empowering a team of exceptional people. Individually, we operate with high autonomy; collectively, we’re unified by a shared drive to achieve our mission through a commitment to excellence.

About The Deployments Team

The Deployments team is responsible for ensuring Augur delivers exceptional value to our customers. We push the frontier of what is possible for our customers by building novel capabilities, where the end-state isn’t always obvious. We’re discovering, building and implementing new solutions using our technology every day.

The Deployments team ensures excellent technical delivery, drives product improvement, and aligns internal teams to maximise our real-world impact. We have diverse backgrounds and skillsets, and we’re comfortable operating in uncertainty. We convert ambiguity and complex problems into clear solutions. We’re unwavering in our commitment to ensuring Augur provides excellent service to every customer.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role

We’re looking for experienced software engineers who have a track record of delivering real-world value. As a Frontier Engineer, you excel at autonomously navigating ambiguous environments and converting complex customer problems into high-impact technical solutions. You are a skilled communicator, and convey complex technical concepts with ease for any audience. You’re also adept at stakeholder engagement, especially fostering relationships with customers and internal teams.

Frontier Engineers play a critical role in the product feedback loop by surfacing customer insights to product teams, and building tailored customer solutions. This includes a broad range of tasks, such as writing data pipelines, creating custom backend services, building new UI components and installing and configuring hardware. We primarily build in Python, Rust and Typescript on Linux, but this is flexible, as we aim to choose the right tool for the job.

While this is a hybrid role, we believe working onsite with customers is essential to understand their needs and ensure deployment success, so expect to spend up to 50% of your week onsite.
