Frontline Vehicle Technician Vacancy
About the Role We are seeking a motivated, self-starter to join our Frontline Vehicle Technician team, operating Monday to Friday (8:00am–4:30pm) with weekend cover as required. Flexibility in your regular working schedule will ensure consistent customer support across designated areas.
As part of the team, you will deliver excellent Volvo Frontline Support to customers—primarily in Truck, Bus, Coach, and other Commercial Vehicles—in a specified geographical area. When frontline duties are light, you will return to a depot for:
- Maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles
- Diagnosing faults
- Conducting vehicle tests
- Completing permanent, high-quality repairs
Key Responsibilities
- Working collaboratively as part of a small team
- Supporting diagnostics, servicing, and preventative maintenance to reduce customer costs
- Recording warranty, contract, and retail paperwork accurately
- Adhering to all procedures, including duty rotation and weekend cover

Additional Duties
- Complete warranty documentation and service procedures
- Perform preventative maintenance to mitigate unnecessary costs for customers
- Handle any reasonable tasks within your capability
Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- City & Guilds Level 3 in HGV Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Proven vehicle diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repair experience
- Organised, methodical work ethic with strong attention to detail
Technical Proficiency
- Experience with manufacturers’ training courses
- Current knowledge of work methods and technical data

- Current UK driving licence (HGV licence is advantageous)
