Fruit & Veg Team Leader

Team Leader - Fruit & Vegetable Department

Do you thrive with helping people, enjoy meeting new individuals, and enjoy going above and beyond for customers? If so, we’re looking for Team Leaders to drive our Fruit & Veg teams, ensuring premium fresh standards and availability for customers.

About the Role

As a Fruit & Veg Team Leader, you’ll be the key figure in sustaining high-quality standards and reducing wastage. Your daily responsibilities include:

  • Stock Management

    • Careful stock handling, date code checking, quality and condition verification
    • Effective rotation and optimal storage of fruit & vegetables
  • Team Coordination & Leadership

    • Overseeing communication and operations within the Fruit & Veg department (covering single-stem produce, garden centres, and plants & flowers)
    • Building a team focused on outstanding customer service—friendly, helpful, and proactive
  • Department Culture & Performance

    • Fostering a collaborative environment where colleagues prioritise customer-centric contributions
    • Establishing a performance-driven culture that recognizes and rewards achievement
    • Encouraging idea-sharing to improve processes

    • Strong understanding of Fruit & Veg department operations

    • Helpful, friendly, and proactive personality
