Our client a well established company near Bournemouth in the Christchurch area of Dorset is recruiting for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join the professional and friendly team on a part-time basis. This is a newly created full time or part-time Payroll opportunity will suit an individual seeking a varied and challenging payroll specialist job.
The Payroll Specialist jobs main purpose is to ensure the timely and accurate payment of all weekly and monthly paid staff for the Group, always maintaining a highly organised way of working to ensure strict deadlines are met.
Payroll Duties Include
Produce analysis of pay and employment across the company Ensure the correct calculation of SSP, SMP, ASPP, OSPP and holiday pay including holiday pay Ensure that payroll costs have been correctly allocated to the General Ledger and accounting system Check correct Auto enrolment pension deductions have been taken from weekly and monthly staff Ensure the correct deduction of tax and national insurance payments, and remitting of sums to HMRC Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and requirements, particularly including NMW Process new starters and leavers as required Reconcile both weekly and monthly payrolls along with Pension funds reconciliation, including Auto Enrolment, pay-overs etc. Issue P45s and other tax forms where required Prepare P11D’s and submit to HMRC Send BACS files and same day payments Ensure business is prepared for go-live of Payrolling of Benefits in April 2026

Ideal Payroll candidate
