Full-Stack AI Engineer
Full-Stack AI Engineer – 12 Month Contract (Edinburgh)
Computershare, a global leader in financial administration with over 11,000 employees across 22 countries, is seeking a Full-Stack AI Engineer for a hybrid (3 days in office) contract role.

About the Role
The Full-Stack AI Engineer will design and deliver intelligent AI-powered applications with transformative business value. This role spans full-stack development, blending modern software engineering and cutting-edge Generative AI and agentic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy end-to-end AI applications, covering:
- Data and model orchestration
- Backend service architecture
- User interface integration
- Collaborate closely with business and product teams to implement high-impact, scalable solutions
- Rapidly prototype and refine generative AI/agentic systems into production-ready enterprise applications
- Develop secure, maintainable code with:
- Best-in-class testing
- CI/CD pipelines
- Observability frameworks
- Integrate AI capabilities into legacy and modern systems
- Continuously optimise deployed solutions for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency

Experience & Skills
Desired Background
- Strong full-stack experience with Python backend development and modern API design
- Hands-on Generative AI expertise, including:
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, etc.)
- Cloud platform familiarity (AWS/Azure/GCP) and cloud-native development practices
- Experience delivering AI solutions in financial services or regulated environments strongly advised
- Proficiency in software engineering best practices:
- Unit/integration testing
- CI/CD orchestration
- Scalable system design principles
