About The Role
We are supporting Reed in recruiting a Full Stack Cloud Engineer to join their dynamic team based in London. This hybrid working role offers an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled professional to contribute to the development of secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in full-stack development and cloud infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining mission-critical systems that support Reed’s innovative AI-driven solutions.
This position is suited for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, start-up environments, take ownership of their work, and possess a strategic mindset that considers the broader business implications of technical decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and security specialists, to deliver impactful solutions that meet stringent reliability and security standards. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have between 2 to 4 years of experience as a Full Stack or Cloud Engineer, demonstrating a solid track record of developing and deploying production-grade applications. Proficiency in Python is essential, coupled with hands-on experience working within the Google Cloud Platform environment. Candidates should possess a good understanding of modern DevOps practices, cloud architecture, and infrastructure as code. Experience working in high-assurance, low-throughput environments, such as regulated industries or government agencies, will be considered advantageous. A minimum of three years’ UK residency is required for eligibility.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of technical and collaborative tasks, including:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack, cloud-native applications that meet security and performance standards.
- Building scalable backend services primarily using Python, ensuring robustness and efficiency.
- Managing the entire development lifecycle from initial concept, design, implementation, testing, to deployment.
- Constructing and optimizing infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform to support application scalability and resilience.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, AI-driven solutions aligned with business needs.
- Implementing best practices to ensure system reliability, security, and high performance.
- Participating in architectural discussions, focusing on scalability, fault tolerance, and resilience to support mission-critical operations.
