Developer
TEAM LEWIS is looking for a Developer to join our incredible team of creative, forward-thinking Developers. We are looking for someone with a strong and detailed understanding of both back-end concepts and front-end development. This is an exciting time to be joining TEAM LEWIS as we seek to rapidly expand our development team.

Purpose of the Role
Working directly for the Head of Development, within an expanding team, this role works alongside other digital creatives and developers to devise visually arresting and engaging websites, mobile applications, and e-campaigns. Campaigns that will surprise and delight users, exploiting cutting-edge development techniques and methods.

You will live and breathe development and will be able to demonstrate your ability to not only create complex solutions but also understand how to architect development solutions that uphold the initial vision and deliver business benefit.
Main Responsibilities
- Considers website development beyond the brief and extends it to include commercial aspects and business value considerations
- Works closely with the Head of Development and the agency’s development team to maintain and evolve the development standards of the agency
- Develops designs to an excellent creative standard, collaborating with other delivery functions
- Full stack development using WordPress, NextJs / React, SCSS / JavaScript / TypeScript
- Develops and progresses opportunities to diversify the development product portfolio, highlighting opportunities to expand the agency capability set
- Demonstrates high levels of attention to detail and standards of accuracy in all code deliverables
- Shows a clear understanding, adoption, and development of the latest techniques and languages, and offers exploratory solutions to development requirements
- Develops a good ideology for managing maintainable, scalable solutions and blueprint products (re-usable assets)
- Encourages and inspires excellence in both the development and design teams
- Records and shares lessons learned with team members to facilitate continuous improvement
- Ensures development architecture is always current and repositories are set up and maintained correctly

About You
You will be an engaging and forward-thinking Full Stack Developer with a user-centered approach to creating brilliant design experiences. You will ideally have HTML/CSS3/SASS practices that support responsive design, progressive enhancement, SEO best practices, W3C, and accessibility standards across both desktop and mobile web.
Additional Requirements
- 2+ years of development experience
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks like React and NextJs
- Understanding of back-end programming concepts
- Previous experience with WordPress
- Strong vanilla JS skills and front-end experience
- Positive communication, strong work ethic, ambition, and drive
