Job Description
You will build a comprehensive platform used by 1,500+ charities to manage grants, safeguarding, and reporting. Working in a high-autonomy team of 15, you’ll own features from ideation to production. This role is perfect for a capable generalist who wants to ship quality code without the friction of endless meetings or project managers.

What You Will Do
- Write clean, scalable TypeScript code across the full stack using React and Node.js to solve complex problems for foundations and local charities.
- Architect and build new features like grant management systems, AI impact reporting, and safeguarding tools from initial concept to production maintenance.
- Build sophisticated migration tools to help charities transition from manual spreadsheets and legacy systems onto Plinth.org.uk’s unified system of record.
The ideal candidate
- A capable generalist with multiple years of experience shipping production code and managing complex systems, ideally having owned products from end-to-end.
- Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript is essential, with additional experience in Node.js and Elasticsearch considered a significant advantage for this role.
- A mission-driven individual who values "childish enthusiasm" and transparency, preferably with previous experience or a deep interest in the charity or non-profit sector.
