About The Role
The Frontend Framework team builds and maintains the foundational platform that enables 50+ frontend engineers across BT Business to ship high-quality applications at pace. We own the Nx monorepo, custom code generators, shared component libraries, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling that product teams rely on every day. We also work closely with the CI/CD Platforms team to manage deployment pipelines, resolve production deployment failures, and maintain security posture across all frontend applications — triaging and remediating package vulnerabilities at scale. You'll work at the intersection of developer experience, platform engineering, and frontend architecture — building tools that multiply the output of the entire engineering organisation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating and maintaining custom Nx generators that scaffold production-ready Next.js, React, and micro-frontend applications with auth, infrastructure, and CI/CD prewired.
- Building internal developer portals and tooling (Framework Hub) with embedded AI-powered assistants.
- Developing and maintaining shared AEM-integrated components consumed by all BT Business applications.
- Collaborating with the CI/CD Platforms team to diagnose and resolve deployment failures across environments (dev, test, production).
- Triaging, prioritising, and remediating npm package vulnerabilities (critical/high CVEs) across the monorepo — coordinating upgrades, overrides, and patching strategies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
