Full Stack Developer – Custom Tools & Performance Enablement

About the Role

As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll leverage your development expertise, curiosity, and problem-solving skills to design, build, and maintain bespoke tools for Kinsta’s customer-facing teams—including Technical Support, Billing, Customer Success, Malware & Abuse, and Migrations. Your work will center on enhancing operational efficiency, enabling teams to deliver world-class support with enhanced workflows.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize specialized custom tools, integrating with core platforms via APIs (data ingestion/export) to improve team workflows.
  • Thoughtfully apply AI and LLM-based solutions to feature development, with a focus on user-centric efficiency.
  • Aid in the administration and maintenance of servers hosting internal tooling (e.g., infrastructure oversight, performance monitoring).
  • Act as a first-level support resource for colleagues using custom-developed applications (debugging, troubleshooting, documentation mentoring).

Requirements

  • Proficiency in business English with strong communication skills.

  • Curiosity-driven mindset—passionate about professional growth, actively seeking ways to improve both technical skills and soft skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a small-team structure, frame thoughtful questions, and proactively anticipate challenges when defining and executing technical work.

  • Mastery of technical problem decomposition to balance immediate needs with architectural/customer-value-focused outcomes.

  • Commitment to executing under deadlines with tتلownership: clear communication if timelines face risks + unwavering focus on quick, high-value delivery.

  • Open to leveraging AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude Code) under a “trust but verify” framework.

  • Core Technical Experience:

    • Python (Frameworks: Quart, FastAPI; async practices, pytest)
    • TypeScript / JavaScript (Node.js)
    • MySQL
    • RESTful architecture, JWT authentication
    • Git best practices (~git-scm.com/features)
  • Bonus Experience (Not Required but Preferred):

    • LLM/API integrations (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic)
    • CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
    • Linux sysadmin (e.g., systemd, Nginx, PM2, SSH/rsync scripting, Redis pub/sub tasks)
    • Redis (pub/sub, task queues)
    • PHP / WordPress ecosystem familiarity
    • Frontend: Svelte/SvelteKit or Chrome extension development
    • Intercom API
    • GraphQL
