Description

Make a difference:

At DeterTech we give peace of mind to people and communities, every day. Making the world a safer, more secure place is what matters to us. And it’s what sets us (and you, if you join us…) apart from the crowd. DeterTech continues to grow and has big plans for the future. Join us and see how you can contribute to our future success.

What’s expected of you?

Due to continued growth and the expansion of our digital roadmap, we are looking for two Full Stack Developers to join our development team. You will maintain both the front-end and back-end components of multiple systems and web applications, working collaboratively with the IT Director and key stakeholders to ensure our platforms meet the rigorous requirements and specifications of DeterTech’s global customer base.

This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys a mix of building modern greenfield features and solving complex architectural challenges within established systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Application Development: Design, build, and maintain high-quality, scalable web applications using the Laravel framework.
  • System Modernization: Take ownership of legacy PHP systems, ensuring high availability while progressively migrating functionality to a modern, decoupled platform.
  • Full Stack Implementation: Develop and enhance interactive front-ends (Vue.js/Livewire) and robust back-end APIs (PHP/Laravel).
  • Infrastructure Support: Collaborate on the management and optimization of our AWS ecosystem (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS) to ensure security, performance, and cost-efficiency.
  • Reliability Engineering: Develop supporting tools in Python or similar languages for server monitoring, automated alerting, and system reliability.
  • IoT & Hardware Integration: Support the development and maintenance of communication protocols (e.g., MQTT) to integrate our software platforms with security hardware.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
