About The Role
We are seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to join a dynamic and passionate team committed to making a positive impact in animal welfare. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a global charity organization that partners with veterinary specialists worldwide to deliver life-saving and life-improving care to animals in need. As a Full Stack Developer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative software solutions that enhance connectivity, streamline operations, and improve the delivery of veterinary services. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in full stack development, with a strong foundation in modern web technologies. A solid understanding of both front-end and back-end systems is essential, along with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Familiarity with agile methodologies and version control systems such as Git is required. Additionally, a passion for animal welfare and a desire to contribute to meaningful causes will set candidates apart.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable back-end services utilizing Prisma ORM and SQL databases to ensure efficient data management and retrieval.
- Build reusable, responsive front-end components using React and Next.js to create engaging user interfaces.
- Develop robust APIs to facilitate seamless communication between front-end applications and back-end systems, supporting both user-facing and administrative functionalities.
- Translate UX/UI wireframes into fully functional, responsive web interfaces that enhance user experience across devices.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and optimal system performance through rigorous testing and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to define features, user stories, and technical specifications that meet project goals.
- Work independently within a remote-first environment, maintaining high standards of code quality, documentation, and maintainability.
