Full Stack Developer (Contract)

Rate: £500 per day (Inside IR35) Duration: Initial 3-Month Contract Location: Hybrid Working – Monthly travel to London and Bristol, plus attendance at key meetings when required Start Date: ASAP


The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a fast-paced agile delivery team on an initial 3-month contract. This is a hands-on role suited to a senior engineer who can quickly get up to speed in an existing environment, take ownership of features end-to-end, and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal oversight.

You'll be working across the full technology stack, contributing to the development of:

  • Modern web applications
  • APIs
  • Cloud-native services
  • Deployment pipelines

This position offers the opportunity to:

  • Help drive the successful delivery of business-critical solutions

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and enhance scalable back-end services and APIs
  • Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript
  • Work across both relational and non-relational databases, including schema design and optimisation
  • Deliver secure, high-quality code supported by automated testing practices
  • Contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements through to production deployment
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerised applications, and cloud-based deployments
  • Participate in:
    • sprint planning
    • stand-ups
    • code reviews
    • technical discussions
  • Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver business value

Essential Skills & Experience

✔ Proven experience delivering production-grade applications as a Full Stack Developer ✔ Strong front-end development expertise with:

  • React
  • TypeScript ✔ Back-end development experience using:
  • Python/FastAPI and/or Node.js with TypeScript ✔ Solid understanding of:
  • API design
  • microservices architectures ✔ Experience with:
  • SQL and/or NoSQL databases ✔ Strong testing mindset, including:
  • Unit testing
  • Integration testing
  • End-to-end testing ✔ Hands-on experience with:
  • Git/GitHub
  • Docker
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Azure ✔ Ability to:
  • Work independently
  • Take ownership
  • Deliver features from concept through to deployment ✔ Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage across technical and business teams
