About The Role

We are currently seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to join a dynamic team working within a global charity organization committed to animal welfare. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that leverage technology to improve the lives of animals in need. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining web-based applications that facilitate communication, data sharing, and service delivery among veterinary specialists and support teams worldwide. Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a strong background in full stack development with proficiency in React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent practical experience will also be considered. Experience working on web applications, APIs, and cloud-based platforms is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a genuine enthusiasm for developing solutions that make a difference. Familiarity with agile methodologies and version control systems such as Git is also advantageous.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications that support the charity’s mission.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements.
  • Translating user needs into technical solutions.
  • Ensuring the responsiveness and usability of applications across devices.
  • Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Conducting code reviews.
  • Implementing best practices for security and performance.
  • Participating in testing and debugging processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Staying updated on emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Providing technical support to end-users.
