Senior Full Stack Developer – Financial Services (London, Hybrid)

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Full Stack Developer to join a dynamic team within a prominent financial services organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects that impact global financial operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications
  • Ensuring seamless integration with cloud services and infrastructure
  • Working with a hybrid model (3 days in the office per week) based in London

The initial contract duration is six months, with the potential for extension based on project needs and performance.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong background in full stack development with experience in modern web technologies and cloud platforms
  • Essential technical skills:
    • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript
    • Experience with React or Next.js frameworks
    • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    • Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform)
  • Track record of constructive code reviews and collaboration in diverse engineering teams
  • Exposure to financial services or investment banking is a considered advantage

Responsibilities

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing robust web applications with optimal performance and security standards
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop technical solutions, and deliver high-quality code
  • Conducting thorough code reviews and providing feedback to promote best practices
  • Managing deployments on AWS, maintaining infrastructure using Terraform, and ensuring system integrations
  • Staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance development processes
