On behalf of the Met Office, we are looking for a Full Stack Developer (Inside IR35) for a 6-month contract based Remotely with occasional travel to Exeter.

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to build and maintain scalable web applications and platforms in a mixed cloud (Azure and AWS) environment for a Government organisation. The successful candidate will work across the full software development lifecycle, from conception through to deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives. This role requires experience in both front end and back end technologies, strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with Agile methodologies.

As a Full Stack Developer your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop responsive, accessible and high-quality user interfaces using Next.js, React and TypeScript.
  • Build and manage back-end services and APIs using Python and FastAPI/Flask.
  • Develop APIs that integrate with search indexing technologies such as Elasticsearch.
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to create intuitive user experiences.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing and debugging to ensure high-quality software.
  • Maintain and update existing applications, troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements.
  • Write technical documentation and assist in defining project requirements.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to streamline deployment processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
