Job Description
Senior C# Developer | London
Industry: Financial Services
Location: London, United Kingdom (Hybrid)
Salary: £85k to £120k - based on experience and skillset + bonus + EOT + benefits
What you’ll be doing
- Develop, maintain and enhance client-facing tools for trading and risk management across commodities and FX products.
- Collaborate closely with front office, risk, operations and technology teams to automate workflows and improve execution efficiency.
- Design and implement real-time analytics and reporting systems, including dashboards and operational monitoring.
- Integrate data sources (market data, positions, risk metrics) into scalable services and visualisation layers.
- Optimise performance and reliability of in-house applications, including low-latency components and data pipelines.
- Ensure systems are resilient, secure, and compliant with operational and governance standards.
- Contribute to code quality through peer reviews, testing practices, documentation and continuous improvement.

The skills we’re looking for
- 5+ years’ development experience within a hedge fund, investment bank, or trading firm.
- Strong programming skills in C# and experience delivering production-grade services.
- Good understanding of financial markets, especially commodities or FX.
- Proven experience building low-latency tools, data pipelines, or trade support systems.
- Familiarity with market data feeds, pricing models, and position management systems.
- Knowledge of databases (SQL) and designing efficient data access patterns.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferably).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of systematic trading frameworks or risk analytics.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced front-office environment.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
- Exposure to energy markets, metals, or emerging market FX is a plus.
