A Full Stack C# .NET Developer is required to join a high‑performing Power Operations technology team, working on a mission‑critical post‑trade application that supports all power trading activity across the organisation.
This is a full stack development role with strong emphasis on C# .NET, Angular, and modern cloud‑based engineering. You’ll work on a business‑critical post‑trade system, developing new features, enhancing existing functionality, and ensuring stability, scalability and long‑term maintainability.
The team is entering a new phase of growth under refreshed technology leadership, moving away from contractor dependency and investing in permanent engineering capability. This hire is a key part of that strategy a long‑term, mid‑level developer who wants to grow inside a modern energy trading environment.
The Team
The Power Operations IT Delivery team sits at the centre of the post‑trade ecosystem, responsible for:
- Power trade capture and post‑trade workflows
- Operational controls across scheduling, nominations, confirmations and settlements
- C# .NET backend services powering mission‑critical trading processes
- Angular front‑end applications used by traders and operations teams
- Data‑driven workflows across SQL Server, Oracle and Azure
- Trade lifecycle tooling supporting multi‑asset energy products

The application you’ll join is a relatively new C#/.NET + Angular system, currently supported by two developers. You will become the third engineer, contributing to a significant pipeline of enhancements, new features and long‑term platform evolution.

As a Full Stack Developer, you will:
- Develop new features across a C# .NET backend and Angular front‑end
- Enhance and maintain a mission‑critical post‑trade application used across Power Operations
- Work closely with Business Analysts, traders and operations stakeholders
- Deliver clean, maintainable and testable code across the full stack
- Contribute to specification‑driven development and modern engineering practices
- Support continuous improvement across CI/CD, cloud deployment and development standards
- Participate in a long‑term roadmap of enhancements, optimisations and new modules
- Work in a team committed to permanent engineering growth, knowledge retention and modernisation
This role is intentionally mid‑level — ideal for someone with strong technical capability who wants to grow inside a stable, well‑structured engineering environment.

Required Experience
- Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET
- Strong Angular development experience (preferred over React)
- Full stack engineering capability
- Experience building bespoke applications or enterprise systems
- Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and translate requirements
- Solid understanding of software development patterns, testing and CI/CD
- Experience with SQL Server or Oracle
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, trading‑adjacent environment
Nice to Have
- Azure (preferred) or AWS
- Kafka or Azure Service Bus
- Experience with specification‑driven development
- Exposure to AI/agentic development workflows
- Experience in energy trading, financial markets, or other trading domains
Domain experience is beneficial but not essential strong Business Analysts support the functional side. Technical capability is the primary focus.
Experience Level
Ideal candidates will have around 5 years’ commercial experience, though capability and depth matter more than tenure.
